You are getting good advice here. Save your money and invest in ammo for practice with your iron sights. If you absolutely, positively have to have an optical sight on your WASR, get a red dot sight like this one:

Yeah the beauty of the AK rifles is their strength and ability to stand up to harsh use, as well as being quick to get into action. Installing a scope like that would remove these advantages. A scope with magnification that high is designed for precision shooting- an AK is not.

Listen to Dist....

You are WAY overspending on a weapon that wasn't even designed with using a scope in mind.

Thats the wrong scope to use on a Romanian WASR.... The problem is that scope can see farther than that gun can shoot accurately ----- 6-24X40 ??? That scope has enough power to read the newspaper at 300 yards! Just kidding! ---- If thats the brand you want then go with the lowest power scope..... The 7.62X39MM is fairly flat to 100 yards, drops a few inches at 200 yards and is almost useless beyond that so getting a powerful scope will disappoint...... I would not use a scope more powerful that 3X9 on a Wasr...... Idealy use a scope more suited for 100 yards or less.... The WASR is a semiauto with lets just say -- less than great mechanical tolerances.... It certainly is no bolt action rifle... DONT get the idea that I dont like the WASR AK47. I do! I own one and a few other AK type rifles.... There great rifles and fun shooters --- But believe me they are not that hot at long distances.... Hope this Helps!!
