		<description>I buy Leupold and Nikon. I have inherited an old Bushnell, and I must say, it works just fine. To be honest, the low to mid price range optics from any of these companies are very comparable, and all of them will serve you well.</description>

You need to compare apples to apples.

Bushnell&#039;s premium scope is the Bushnell Elite 6500, followed by the Bushnell Elite 4200, then the Bushnell Elite 3200, then Legend, then Banner and Trophy (I don&#039;t know which is better between those two) and at the bottom is the Bushnell Sportsman.

For Nikon their premium is the Nikon Monarch Gold and Monarch X, followed by Monarch, then Nikon&#039;s Buckmaster, then Nikon Prostaff

Bushnell&#039;s 6500 is better than Nikon Prostaff

Nikon Monarch is better than Bushnell Banner

Apples to Apples, from best to worst

Nikon Monarch Gold/Nikon Monarch X = Bushnell Elite 6500
Nikon Monarch = Bushnell Elite 4200
Nikon Buckmaster = Bushnell Elite 3200
Nikon Prostaff = Bushnell Legend
No Nikon equivalent  = Bushnell Banner and Trophy
No Nikon equivalent = Bushnell Sportsman 

So yes, the Bushnell Elite 3200 is just as good as the Nikon Buckmaster...but then they are priced pretty similar too.

You get what you pay for.

As you well know some scopes can cost over $1500 and you certainly get great optics at that kind of money.....  On a budget you never know what kind of quality you&#039;ll get... With Nikons I feel I got a great product, there not too expensive and they have been a pleasure to use.....</description>
